I'll literally never forgive the destiny fandom for sleeping on Eris/Mara when there's a whole running storyline about them traveling together to the outer reaches of the system to barehandedly destroy a pyramid, in the process of which Mara straight up dies, forcing Eris to go into Elusinia and punch Dul Incaru in her >:3c face to Hive Resurrection Ritual Mara back into physicality, and then when they get out, Eris gets sliced and diced by falling debris, at which point Mara has to perform impromptu field surgery on her thigh to stop the bleeding, and Eris, expecting to die, reconciles with Mara over the whole "having embedded in herself a piece of Oryx's power and in utilizing it becoming like him" thing, which I haven't mentioned until now because it's not even one of the top five most insane things to happen in this sequence of lore pieces.
Yesterday my group and I jumped into session zero of our campaign. I have not DM'ed properly in about 10 years and the landscape of DnD has shifted so much since then. To say I was a ball of nerves would be an understatement. But I had a blast and I hope my players did too! I played Elanor, the badass half elven half dwarven ranger. Sonja, the sorcerer owlin. I also played a handful of other NPCs and I experienced my players find their feet with their characters and it was so much fun. I can't wait for session one in two weeks!
PS: Elanor has my heart for life and I adore her.

Those bad people everyone hates but are also extremely bad at recognizing what their actual rhetoric looks like because nobody bothers to look into what the ideology really *is* other than being Bad People & then treating it like a synonym for any kind of Bad Person.
